Banatrol Plus by Medtrition is a dietary supplement, a natural remedy with the prebiotic Bimunosa, suitable for adults and children over 3 years of age with diarrhea.

Oral administration Diarrhea: 1 sachet of Banatrol Plus three times a day. Determine the dose according to your needs, with a minimum of one sachet per day and a maximum of six sachets per day. Continue until the diarrhea disappears. Loose stools: One sachet once or twice a day, as needed. Banatrol Plus with banana flavor is unsweetened and is usually added to liquid food or drink for oral use. Mix one Setet in 120 ml of water or fruit juice or liquid foods such as applesauce, yogurt, pudding, and oatmeal. Banatrol Plus with pineapple and banana flavor is sweetened and can be mixed directly with 120 ml of water to make a pleasant-tasting and aromatic drink. Tube feeding One Setet of Banatrol Plus every six to eight hours. Add 120 ml of room temperature water to a 240 ml cup. Slowly stir in the contents of one Setet of Banatrol Plus. Stir until completely dissolved. Administer slowly through the feeding tube using a syringe. Depending on the size of the feeding tube, you may need to use the plunger of the syringe to gently push the mixture down the tube. Rinse with 30 mL of water before and after each administration. Do not mix while feeding through the tube. When administering Banatrol Plus through a feeding tube, we recommend a size in French (Fr) 14 or larger to reduce the risk of tube blockage. Use at least 120 ml of water to dissolve the product. Slowly stir the contents of one sachet of Banatrol Plus into 120 ml of water. Stir well. Administer through a syringe via the feeding tube. Tubes smaller than 14 Fr Administer each Setet of Banatrol Plus in two separate doses. For small-sized tubes, slowly stir half a Setet of Banatrol Plus into 120 mL of water. Stir until completely dissolved. Inject through the syringe into the feeding tube. Rinse with 30 mL of water and repeat the procedure for the second half of the Setet. Some patients with J-tubes (Jejunostomy tubes) may not tolerate well the amount of fluid that must be taken using the method described above with two separate doses. In these cases, it is better to take small doses frequently, spaced one to two hours apart; i.e., each half of a Banatrol Plus Setet mixed with 120 mL of water, intended for a single dose, should be given one to two hours apart.
