Always take Imomed as recommended in this leaflet. If you are unsure about anything, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Imomed can be applied at any time of the day. Adults For acute diarrhea, take 2 tablets (4 mg loperamide hydrochloride) at the start of treatment, followed by 1 tablet (2 mg) after each loose stool, but no more than 8 tablets (16 mg) in 24 hours. If your stools return to normal or you have no more stools for 24 hours, do not take any more Imomed tablets. For chronic diarrhea, the initial dose is adjusted until 1-2 solid stools per day are achieved, which is achieved with 1 to 6 tablets (2 to 12 mg) per day. Important information: do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours! Use in children and adolescents In children, the dose should be adjusted according to body weight (3 tablets per 20 kg). Children over 12 years For acute diarrhea, the initial dose is 1 tablet (2 mg loperamide hydrochloride), followed by one tablet (2 mg) after each loose stool. The daily dose of 4 tablets (8 mg) should not be exceeded. For chronic diarrhea, take 1 tablet after each loose stool, but the daily dose should not exceed 4 tablets (8 mg). Children aged 9 to 12 years For acute diarrhea, the initial dose is 1 tablet (2 mg loperamide hydrochloride), followed by one tablet (2 mg) after each loose stool. The daily dose of 3 tablets (6 mg) should not be exceeded. For chronic diarrhea, take 1 tablet after each loose stool, but the daily dose should not exceed 3 tablets (6 mg). Children aged 6 to 8 years For acute diarrhea, take 1 tablet (2 mg) after each loose stool. The daily dose should not exceed 3 tablets (6 mg). For chronic diarrhea, take 1 tablet (2 mg) after each loose stool, but the daily dose should not exceed 2 tablets (4 mg). The tablets should be taken without chewing, with sufficient liquid. The duration of Imomed treatment for acute diarrhea is no more than 2 days. If the disorder persists for more than 2 days, you should consult your doctor. If you have taken more than the required dose of Imomed If you have taken more than the required dose of Imomed, contact your doctor, especially if you have any of the following symptoms: muscle stiffness, uncoordinated movements, drowsiness, difficulty urinating, or weakened breathing. Children's reaction to high doses of Imomed is more pronounced than in adults. If your child has taken a larger amount or is showing any of the above symptoms, contact your doctor immediately. If necessary, gastric lavage should be performed. The opioid antagonist naloxone may be administered as an antidote under medical supervision.
