Oral use First week: Discontinue all psyllium (a type of plant fiber) powder and all products containing fiber juices. Take 30 mL of HyFiber® with FOS once a day or add to 120 mL of liquid beverage. Week 2: Stop using all laxatives and stool softeners. Increase the amount of HyFiber with FOS to 30 mL twice a day. Week 3: Maintain 30 mL twice daily or reduce to 30 mL once daily, as needed or directed by a healthcare professional. Tube feeding Mix with 30 mL of water. Administer with a syringe through the feeding tube. Rinse the tube with 15-30 mL of water before and after administration. Suitable for mixing with enteral formulas.
