To make PermaFoam easier to remove, Edges can be moistened with Ringer's solution. If the wound is not complicated, PermaFoam can remain in place for up to several days. This depends on the amount of wound secretion and the condition of the dressing itself, PermaFoam should be changed based on clinical indications and when secretion appears around the edges of the dressing
