Usage
Eurogine Gold T (CU375+AU) Normal Gynecological IUD. Insertion technique: Before inserting an intrauterine device, cytological tests must be performed to rule out any possible contraindications. When inserting the IUD, follow these procedures: Perform a gynecological examination to determine the depth and position of the uterus. Use a speculum to examine the cervix. Disinfect the cervix using an antiseptic solution. Clamp the front part of the cervix to pull the cervix when necessary. Measure the depth and direction of the cervical canal. Follow the insertion steps: After probing the uterus, open the Set halfway to reveal the movable ring of the insertion cannula. Adjust the ring so that the distance from the horizontal arms of the coil to the lower edge of the ring corresponds to the distance measured with the probe. Before insertion, you can bend the cannula so that it takes on the position of the uterus. The bending should be done while the coil is still in the sterile Setaging and has not been placed in the insertion cannula. Grasp the threads and pull the IUD into the cannula until the ends of the horizontal arms cover the opening of the cannula. The intrauterine device should not remain in the insertion cannula for more than 5 minutes. Insert the plunger into the cannula while holding the threads taut with your other hand. This ensures that the polyethylene threads remain taut inside the cannula and do not become entangled with the plunger. Place the plunger in the direction of the opening of the arms. Insert the cannula into the cervical canal until the ring rests against the cervix. Check the round part of the plunger. Release the arms of the spiral by sliding the cannula against the plunger until the end rests against the round part of the cannula. Make sure that the distance between the ring and the cervical entrance is about 15 mm. Continue inserting the IUD using the cannula and plunger until the ring rests against the cervix again. Very important! Release the coil completely from the insertion cannula by pulling the cannula out while keeping the plunger fully inside it. Carefully remove the plunger while holding the cannula steady. Make sure that the polyethylene threads move freely in the cannula and that there is no risk of dislodging the coil. Cut the polyethylene threads so that about 2 cm of them remain outside the cervix.
