Description
Smith Nephew Bactigras is a white paraffin-impregnated gauze dressing made of linen fibers, with 0.5% chlorhexidine acetate (BP).
It acts as a mesh barrier between the wound surface and the secondary dressing, while allowing exudate (inflammatory fluid) to be absorbed by the secondary dressing.
Chlorhexidine acetate is an antiseptic that is slowly released from Bactigras, providing prolonged action against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Usage
Smith Nephew Bactigras Impregnated linen fiber dressing with 0.5% BP 5x5 cm x1 pc Directions for use: - Clean the wound with saline solution. - Remove the protective paper and apply. Removing the dressing: Bactigras can remain in place when the secondary dressing is changed. The frequency of changing varies from once a day to twice a week.
Important
Do not apply to injuries covering more than 10% of the body; Do not use if you are sensitive or allergic to chlorhexidine; Do not use after the expiry date;
