Beurer BC 58 659.16 Wrist blood pressure monitor: Before use, read the operating instructions carefully. Adjusting the cuff Place the blood pressure monitor on the inside of your left wrist. Make sure there are no clothes on your wrist. Fasten the cuff with the adhesive Velcro so that the upper edge of the computer is about 10 mm below the knuckle of your thumb (see illustration). The cuff should be snug, but not too tight. Measurement Always take the measurement in a seated position. The arm from the elbow to the wrist should be held so that the cuff is level with the heart. To avoid disrupting the measurement, it is important to remain calm during the measurement and not to talk. Recommendation: Place your arm on a table. 1. Sit on a chair and make sure your arm is supported and bent so that it is at the level of your heart. 2. Press the ON button to put the device into sensor mode. Press the Start/Stop button. The display shows the last memory position used, U 1 or U 2. To change the memory position, press the MEM button and confirm with the Start/Stop button. If you do not press any button within 5 seconds, the measurement will be stored in the memory position that was previously stored. 3. The cuff is inflated to about 190 mmHg and gradually measures the blood pressure, but if it cannot detect the blood pressure well, it may inflate further. 4. The display will start flashing ? when the pulse is detected. 5. Your systolic and diastolic values will be displayed on the screen for 1 minute.
