The ovulation test works by detecting levels of human luteinizing hormone (LH).
The LH ovulation test is a three-layer immuno-diagnostic test.
- When you add urine to the test strip, it moves along the strip and mobilizes the anti-LH that coats the test strip
- The resulting mixture moves along the membrane under the influence of capillary pressure and interacts with the anti-LH antibodies coating the test area
- If LH is present, a red colored line appears in the test area
- This control line serves as an indicator of color intensity in the presence of approximately 30 mlU/ml LH
- When the intensity of the line in the test area is equal to or stronger than that of the line in the control area, the test result is positive and indicates that the LH surge has begun
If LH is at its baseline level, less than 15 mlU/ml, the intensity of the line in the test area will be lighter than that of the line in the control area.

Usually, morning urine contains the highest level of LH. It is recommended NOT to use a sample from the first morning urine, as such samples may give false positive results. 2. When testing on several consecutive days, it is recommended that samples be taken at the same time each day. 3. Collect urine samples in clean, dry, plastic or glass containers. 4. Samples can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 72 hours before testing. Samples stored in the refrigerator should be allowed to reach room temperature before testing. 5. Sodium acid up to 0.1% may be added as a preservative without affecting the test result. Procedure: To determine the length of your menstrual cycle, you must count the days from the first day of menstrual bleeding to the last day before the next cycle of menstrual bleeding begins. If a woman is unsure of the length of her cycle, she should use her shortest cycle over the last 6 months. In this case, more than 5 tests may be needed to determine the start of the LH surge. Once you have determined the length of your menstrual cycle, please use the table on the cardboard Setaging to determine the day on which to start testing. 1. Remove the strip from the sealed foil Setaging. 2. Dip the strip into the urine so that the arrows point towards the sample. The urine level should not be higher than the limit line marked with an arrow. 3. Remove the strip after at least 20 seconds and place it on a clean, dry, non-absorbent surface. 4. Read the result between 3 and 10 minutes. Do not read the result after more than 10 minutes! Interpreting the result: 1. When the test begins to work, a purple line will appear in the middle section of the test result to show that the test is working properly. This line is the control line (C). (The test must be placed so that the arrows point to the right). 2. The right side of the result window shows the test result. If another purple line appears in the right side of the result window, this line is the test line (T). Positive result: A. The presence of two lines of the same color and intensity in the test window, regardless of which one appeared first, indicates an elevated LH level. You will ovulate within the next 24-48 hours. B. The test line may be darker and more intense than the control line. This also indicates a positive result. Negative result: A. The presence of a purple control line and a lighter test line means that no increase in LH hormone levels has been detected. This means that you are not ovulating. B. The appearance of only the control line means that no increase in LH hormone has been detected. Invalid result: If no colored line appears in the result area or ONLY the test line appears, this means that the test result is invalid, i.e. either the instructions were not followed correctly or the test has expired. Contraindications: 1. Low LH levels are usually found in the urine and blood of healthy men and women before menopause, but not during the LH surge. Postmenopausal women usually have increased LH levels. Clear Hcg Pregnancy Test Introduction: The CLEAR hCG Test is a test device for determining hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in urine specimens. The test device is designed to provide a visual qualitative result for early pregnancy determination. Test procedure: Allow the test device to reach room temperature. To begin testing, open the foil Setaging by tearing one end at the marked location. Remove the test device from the Setaging. Dip the test strip into the urine sample with the arrows pointing downwards. The urine level should not exceed the MAX line. Remove the strip from the urine after 30 seconds and place it on a flat, clean, dry, non-absorbent surface. Wait for the colored lines to appear. Depending on the concentration of hCG in the urine sample, positive results can be read in as little as 40 seconds. However, to confirm negative results, it is recommended to wait for the full reaction time of 5 minutes. Do not read the results after more than 10 minutes. Interpretation of results: Positive: distinct test lines appear, one in the test region and one in the control region. The presence of two colored lines indicates pregnancy. The color intensity of the test line may vary, as different stages of pregnancy have different concentrations of hCG hormone. Negative: only one colored line appears in the control region. There is no colored line in the test region. This indicates that you are not pregnant. Invalid: no colored lines are visible at all. Repeat the procedure with a new test device. Storage and shelf life: The test device should be stored at room temperature (2°C to 30°C) in the factory-sealed foil Setaging and is usable until the expiration date. The test device should be stored away from direct sunlight, moisture, and heat.
