Clear Stick Test for early diagnosis of pregnancy Pen. Test procedure: 1. To begin testing, open the sealed foil. Remove the test device from the sealed foil. 2. Hold the round end of the cap with one hand. Use your other hand to pull the test device out and remove the absorbent pad. 3. Point the absorbent end downwards; place the absorbent end on a stream of urine for at least 10 seconds to become completely wet. Alternatively, you can collect a sample of your urine in a clean cup and dip half of the absorbent pad into the urine for at least 10 seconds. The urine should not exceed the line marked with an arrow! 4. Close the device with the cap and wait for the colored lines to appear. Depending on the concentration of the hCG hormone, a positive result can be read after at least 40 seconds. However, to confirm a negative result, it is recommended to wait for the full reaction time of 5 minutes. Do not read the result after more than 10 minutes! Interpretation of results: Negative: Only one colored line appears in the control area. No colored line appears in the test area. You are not pregnant. Positive: Clearly defined colored lines appear—one in the control area and one in the test area. Two colored lines indicate that you are pregnant. The color intensity of the colored lines may vary. Different stages of pregnancy have different levels of hCG hormone concentration. Invalid: No colored lines are visible at all. Repeat the test with a new test device. TEST PROCEDURE LIMITATIONS 1. The CLEAR hCG test - PEN is intended for in vitro diagnostic use only. 8. In addition to pregnancy, elevated concentrations of the hCG hormone can be found in patients with GTTs (gestational trophoblastic tumors), which, although rare, have a good prognosis for treatment depending on the location and degree of development. These factors should be excluded when interpreting hCG levels to establish and diagnose pregnancy. 9. Although the CLEAR hCG test - PEN is very accurate in detecting pregnancy, in very rare cases it is possible to obtain false results. If illogical or surprising results occur, it is recommended to consult a doctor. 10. Normal pregnancy cannot be differentiated from ectopic pregnancy based solely on hCG levels. Spontaneous abortions can also cause confusion in the interpretation of test results. 11. As with all diagnostic tests, the diagnosis should not be based solely on the results of a single test, but should be made by a doctor after a complete clinical and laboratory examination. 12. Negative results in samples taken from women in very early pregnancy may be due to unusually low hCG concentrations. In such cases, the test should be repeated after two days with a fresh urine sample. 13. The sample taken may be too diluted and therefore may not contain a sufficient amount of the hCG hormone. If negative results are reported in the urine sample taken and pregnancy is still possible, take the first morning urine and repeat the test!
